Drum Awards Festival
FCB was tasked with creating the “What If” campaign for The Drum Awards Festival. The campaign celebrates curiosity, experimentation, and the bold thinking that drives creativity forward.
I contributed to the project by supporting research and development for the particle systems, helping shape the CG look development, and creating the animation for the drum, bringing motion and energy to the visual identity of the campaign.

Research and Development
The animations is inspired by cymatics, the study of how particles react to sound vibrations, giving the campaign a constantly transforming visual system symbolic of ideation itself.
I explored particle experimentation across both 2D and 3D to study how motion can shape visual storytelling. In 3D, I worked in Cinema 4D, testing different particle behaviors. In 2D, I experimented with After Effects plug-in called Stipple.

Drum Look Development
I explored particle experimentation across both 2D and 3D to study how motion, texture, and density can shape visual storytelling. In 3D, I worked in Cinema 4D, testing different particle behaviors and simulating ways they could gather, disperse, and morph into recognizable forms. In 2D, I experimented with the Stipple plugin to recreate a particle-driven aesthetic through dots and textures. By adjusting density, scale, and motion, I was able to achieve a similar sense of formation and dispersion.
